Fun facts:

➡️ Greeks used to break plates in front of singers, when they were having fun. But it was dangerous, so now it's forbidden. Now they throw flowers. See how: https://youtu.be/clt8c5bcMZA?t=77

hints n tips:

➡️ If you need a taxi, try UBER or BEAT mobile apps. They are safe and reliable!

➡️ For Athens' busses, try the app OASA Telematics, to see timetables. It's accurate, yet not very simple to use! Google play store here

➡️ If you need to store your luggage fore some hours, this one offers a good service and it is located at a fine safe spot, at Syntagma sq.:  storeluggage.gr

Safety first:

➡️ Be careful of the pickpockets esp. in Metro, central neighborhoods of Monastiraki, Plaka, Syntagma, and the beaches. They act like Houdini! 💸 Keep your personal belongings always in front of you!

➡️ While in the sea, even in Attica, check for purple jellyfish - and avoid contact! This is the second year that we have observed them in Greek waters. They carry a very painful sting with neurotoxin, and leaves marks on your skin for months. ⚠️ More info here

➡️ COVID is rising up again, in Greece, this Summer. When in public transportations and crowded places, please put a good quality mask on!

➡️ In case of emergency, there is a free for all 24/7 open, public emergency clinic, named "IKA ALEXANDRAS".  Address Leoforos Alexandras 119, Athens. Googe Maps Direct Link https://goo.gl/maps/MZEPecBy3hHc8VxS8
